The Colorado Rockies 2007 postseason run was truly amazing. The abrupt end was hard to swallow and hard to fathom. What could be said about how they demolished their competition (good teams, some, might I say, even better than the Red Sox) and then petered out in the final stage? Was it the layoff? Perhaps. If it was, it was more due to the fact that the layoff allowed more time for getting psyched out. They had the talent to go all the way. They simply did not have the mental capacity… this year.
As every good Cubs fan knows quite well, just wait until next year.
