This is based on my observation of what has been going on among the Republican party and conservative commentators since John McCain has all but secured the nomination. It seems the buzz word is “Reagan” and McCain and others are trying to say how much like “Reagan” they truly are, despite his voting record. In an effort to unify the party, some Republicans are now talking about the “new” Reagan, trying to redefine all that Reagan stood for in the first place.
